My friend from high school makes these beautiful little crocheted owls, and instead of payment, we’re going to trade. The initial images are the ones she picked, and I’ll be adding more soon.

Reading 'Starting Your Career as a Freelance...
There is some serious stuff in here that I wish I would have written first. I like the approach the writer is taking - personal, real, inspiring. Not stuffy, clinical, or text book.

Avon Walk DC
Three weeks ago, Fiance and I participated as members of the Crew in the Avon Walk here in DC. It was a different experience from the Chicago walks, yet very much the same.
The weather was perfect, the people were passionate, and we had a lot of fun!

Carpenter's Shelter - Carpenter's Cook-Off
I had the pleasure this afternoon of being the volunteer photographer for the Carpenter’s Shelter - Carpenter’s Cook-Off here in Northern Virginia. It’s a really wonderful organization and all of their volunteers are such great people. I was able to tour the facility a few months back and it’s just a great place. I’m grateful there is somewhere like that in the area...

First out-of-school competition - Honorable...
I submitted this photo: http://bit.ly/Feb_HM in the Advanced Color Print category and it won me an Honorable Mention from a finicky, smug, but talented, judge.
It feels good. I’m looking forward to March. :)

My computer had a nasty virus so I had to wipe everything from my computer, including Photoshop. So, until I reinstall it, I can’t watermark and therefore won’t be able to post.
